I had a phenomenal experience with JAADES. I had been eyeing this piece for about two years now and was finally able to purchase the print. I selected a framed canvas and it looks fantastic. When I first received it, there was slight damage on the frame (due to the delivery service as the box was clearly labeled Fragile, but had external damage as well). When I emailed JAADES about this, they responded quickly and personally. It made the whole experience even better as I knew I bought a beautiful piece from someone that cared.

I strived to create a sense of intimacy through this painting, with the fine details and muted colours of the sky and buildings. 'Park Avenue' is an evocation of urban life, inviting the viewer into the beauty and complexity of the city in all its grandeur and grittiness. On a personal level, New York City was the first place I’d been to where I felt like a young woman, and was where I felt my parents started to treat me as a friend rather than someone to look after. It was a big step into “women hood”. Having Tess (my twin) recently move across the world, this trip came to the forefront of memories when missing her. Now, we are both in our own city’s, exploring and growing into the women we’re becoming, but it all started here on the streets of New York City.

If you prefer to purchase a paper print and source your own frame, you can source many different options depending on your budget. We purposefully made out paper print sizes very standard for this reason. Inexpensive frames can be found for all of our sizes at IKEA, Old Faithful Shop, Opposite Wall, Simply Framed, or Amazon.

Hi, my name is Jade Buckley. I'm the founder & artist behind Jaades Co.
I've always been passionate about creativity. From a young age, I found comfort in the endless opportunities discovered with a paint brush in hand.
Since then, my passion has only grown. Art never left my side. I made the decision to pursue a business degree over a fine art degree. I hung-up my paint brushes, with the self-promise to one-day return to painting. I now use my education to create a business from my passion.
More than anything, I want to create work that speaks to people.
