I had a phenomenal experience with JAADES. I had been eyeing this piece for about two years now and was finally able to purchase the print. I selected a framed canvas and it looks fantastic. When I first received it, there was slight damage on the frame (due to the delivery service as the box was clearly labeled Fragile, but had external damage as well). When I emailed JAADES about this, they responded quickly and personally. It made the whole experience even better as I knew I bought a beautiful piece from someone that cared.

Jill (Photographer): Terns are one of my favourite shorebirds to watch and photograph. Their behaviours are so relatable. Courtship displays, feeding behaviour, chick rearing; it is all fun to watch and challenging and rewarding to photograph. This image was taken at the Lake Ontario shoreline in the city of Toronto. I was practicing shooting these birds in flight and this particular image became a favourite. Not for it’s technical perfection or sharpness, because it is not either. But the accidental composition revealed shapes and colours and lines that just hit right to me. I was so pleased that Jade saw the same in it as I did and can’t wait to see her rendition!
Jade (Artist): Going into this collection, I made it my goal to create “non-traditional” wildlife paintings. This was one of the many reasons I wanted to partner with Jill. I was immediately drawn to her image of the bird flying over water, primarily because of its captured reflection. As your eye works towards the edges of the canvas, you will see these fine details and small strokes become larger, turning the water into bold and smooth strokes. I did this with the intention of depicting the ebb and flow of water. The natural swirling blues and whites created such a beautiful and uncontrived pattern, and I believe it added a wild, yet serene feeling to the painting.

Hi, my name is Jade Buckley. I'm the founder & artist behind Jaades Co.
I've always been passionate about creativity. From a young age, I found comfort in the endless opportunities discovered with a paint brush in hand.
Since then, my passion has only grown. Art never left my side. I made the decision to pursue a business degree over a fine art degree. I hung-up my paint brushes, with the self-promise to one-day return to painting. I now use my education to create a business from my passion.
More than anything, I want to create work that speaks to people.
